We spent the rest of this day watching the flower parade, the highlight of the Funchal\u00a0Flower Festival. Vehicles\u00a0with fantastic creations covered with flowers, dancing people in beautiful flower inspired dresses, booming music and a huge crowd of\u00a0spectators along the parade road. Here are a few pictures with just a fraction of what passed in front of us.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-320\" title=\"Flower Lady Funchal 2010\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thenook.se\/blogg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/MG_42911.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"741\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Children are an important theme in the parade, although you can sometimes hardly see them behind the flowers.
